The question is…will Ridley Scott steal from the riches of Hollywood revisionism to make this movie?

If it is as good as Gladiator, I will go see it. There was not too much in the way of revisionism in Gladiator that couldn't be explained as dramatic license. At least he kept that somewhat historically accurate as opposed to the disaster that was 300. Plus, it's Russell Crowe, he has been great in every movie I have seen him in.
I'm sure I will see it as well. I believe the Robin Hood tale was fiction to begin with (our thread was “Robin Hood Lives”) so I suppose adding a bit more fiction to it won't really harm historical accuracy! I also like Russell Crowe movies. I thought Master and Commander was pretty good as far as historical fiction goes.
Making History alive, not fully accurate but not forgotten. What is better ?
I thought Master & Commander was pretty good too, and I was disappointed when they did not make more. There are something like 20 books in the series.
