When you first load the index page, does it seem to take longer than usual? If so, I think the server might need optimizing. If not, it might just be my ISP. Just checking.
The Twitter mod was not working yesterday and I know it was slowing things down when posting. I turned the option off for the time being. I just loaded up the main index page of the forum and it seems like it loaded up quickly enough. Maybe it was a temporary problem with the server?
I had trouble a few minutes ago getting the index to load at all. It timed out. But I tried again and it loaded fine. I suspect it's server side, and the twitter mod isn't affecting my forums…..yet. If it does, I'll disable it as well.
It probably was a server side issue with the host company. They might have been optimizing their various servers or doing maintenance or were under a bandwidth load somewhere else and WCF suffered from the burden. I doubt that the Twitter mod was doing it because neither of my sites have been affected so far.
Well I know for sure that there was something going on with the Twitter mod because it wasn't working (wasn't sending the updates to Twitter) and when I would post a new message here on the forum, it would take forever for the message to actually post. I turned off the Twitter mod and the delay in posting was removed. That said, I tried turning the Twitter mod back on after about a day or two and it started working again. Not sure exactly what happened but glad it's normal once again....
