I raise this question after reading this story, which is similar to other stories about ex-Nazis who have been hunted down:Nazi Suspect Indicted in Germany for Role in 430,000 MurdersIs hunting down low-level guards, 65 years after the events in question really wise/the best use of time and efforts?  What is the point of “capturing” a 90-year old and putting him on trial?  I do realize that there is the principle that people who commit crimes need to pay the price, and for some/many the guilt or fear in the decades since WWII is not enough.  But I also believe that human justice is hardly the only thing here, and that Divine Justice is the “catchall”, if you will.  Seems to me that placing so much attention on hunting down ex-Nazis “before it's too late” (i.e. they die out) is misplaced.
