I watched the movie Little Women (1994) last night because I had heard it was supposed to be good, and because it was free on “on demand” ;D . It mostly takes place in New England the 1860s, and I was impressed. It really seems to capture domestic life in the 19th century in a way that period movies usually do not. Anyone else seen this movie/read the book?
I think I saw an older version of the movie a long time ago. I read excerpts of it in my lit. class. It was more interesting than I thought it would be and you are correct, it does seem to portray domestic life in the 19th century quite well.
