Does anyone have any recommendations or book for sale (Donnie?) of a good Winston Churchill biography?
or a collection of his speeches
I highly recommend 'The Last Lion' Vols 1 + 2.I understand there is a 3rd and final volume being completed by Paul Reid.If you enjoy these books, you may be interested in Churchill's own writings. His Memoirs of the Second World War and his History of the English Speaking Peoples are outstanding IMHO.Enjoy and please share your thoughts with us after reading these or other books about the man.Cheers,
Thanks willie. I might check out those memoirs of WWII first.

Oh, excellent choice! Nothing like getting history from the source eh? While you're inside Churchill's head reading this six volume set, you might consider marking the war's timeline. Then consider following up with reading Eisenhower's 'Crusade in Europe'--another glimpse inside the head of a WW2 decision maker. I'd be surprised if you didn't find more than a few areas where these two historical figures remembered things differently. 😉
erunt vs erat ? 😛
I have a copy of Eisenhower's Crusade in Europe, but nothing on Churchill. Sorry skiguy I failed you again.
