I saw this, coming out of France.
President Nicolas Sarkozy on Friday defended a plan to require 10-year-olds to honor child victims of the Holocaust, saying adults should not hide terrible truths from children.

I think the reasons for the opposition to it are stupid. “traumatized” by “ghosts of the past” Please. ::) So what do they think about other incidents in history? Don't teach children about it because it may traumatize them?!?I just wonder if educating the younger kids this way is just a start and will eventually lead to a more thorough approach as the kids get older. (I hope) Will they also teach about those who escaped the holocaust and what became of them?
