As we have yet to learn from our past conflicts, I am certain another is coming.  Big time.  My thinking is against China.  Over some Island in the sun.  The Chinese are building nuclear submarines at an alarming rate, which threaten any of our aircraft carries in the western Pacific, and all of our cities. So my question is, whom will we engage next with confidence, and/or how can we avoid it?Our defensive forces are stretched beyond belief all over the globe, doing every and any thing they were never designed to do.  So, I must ask, who's protecting me?  And you family members?  In case of disaster? The answer is nobody.  We are too busy trying to protect the rest of the world.  And failing miserablly.  As we are at home.  Failng miserably.  And yet our president still sends our best men over seas to die, while those in need in this land are still dying. Broken and homeless. What is wrong here?

    Please cite proof.

So, I must ask, who's protecting me?  And you family members?  In case of disaster?

How about protecting yourself or knowing what to do in emergency situations?  Now, I have to ask, will you be one of the first one's to yell “police state” if the military rescues your city from disaster? (keep in mind, they'll probably try to disarm you and and everyone else). There's approximately 1,000,000 National Guard and Reservists still at home.  There's also over 200,000 employees in FEMA and state EMA's and DHS.  If you (not you personally) would stop believing the Leftist line that they are ineffective or unready, then maybe you'd see that's not true.

And yet our president still sends our best men over seas to die

I'm sure most of them think they are going over there to win and serve their country, not die.

while those in need in this land are still dying. Broken and homeless.

Or lazy and unambitious.  Economic data shows there are more jobs available than there are people (hence the need for foreign guest workers) so if you're healthy and capable of work, there's no excuse. The U.S. has the most generous and liberal welfare system in the world to take care of those unable to work.  Is the housing “crisis” because, as Mrs. Clinton puts it, Bush did nothing, or is it because people are too stupid to research home loans and are too stupid to realize that ARM's are not a good idea?  And is it not because people stretch themselves beyond their limit credit-wise? Now is that the president's, or mortgage company's, or credit card company's fault?  No, it's the fault of the individual.Don't blame the government, blame yourself.

China would be a large-scale war.  Let's hope (pray) it doesn't come to that.Venezuela might be something more likely.  It seems that the longer Chavez is in power the more antsy he gets.  From what I have read in the news over the past few years it sounds like is “itching” for a fight.  Iran, of course, is another one.  I don't think it would come to this, however.
