I actually think this is a tough question. An argument could be made for discovery and settlement but the shapeing of culture and ideas is what brought about the revolution and the Constitution.
I don't really understand the question. These all influenced (I'm assuming Jamestown as well) America's formation, so in that sense they're all “cornerstones”. Is this what you're asking?
