Time: 6:05 am. Just got back from Best Buy. I wanted this laptop on sale for a good price but it was sold out. They had 45 of them too and I was in line before the doors opened. 1/4 mile long line, Target, Walmart, and Circuit City were also crowded and I saw lots of people purchasing large screen TV's, computers, etc. What bad economy?? Curious what the media's going to report this evening...probably the usual doom and gloom.(by the way, I never did and never will again do the Black Friday thing at 5 am. Oy!)
Only did it once and luckily I got what I was after. Like you, I will never do it again, I didnt think the camera I got was worth the wait in the cold after I got home and had a chance to play with it.
The laptop @ Best Buy was a Toshiba, 2g ram 160hd for $379, regular price $650 something. I just saw one on newegg $499, Acer, 3g ram, 320 hd. Way overkill for what I want to use it for, but I might do it. (it's more powerful than my current desktop!)
I like the deals, but people sure get crazy. An employee was trampled to death at a Wal-Mart. And two were shot dead at a Toys-r-us in California.
