ParticipantOnly if marching against them....
Not likely to happen with the current government, just ask Honduras.

ParticipantMore stories, some illustrate the bankruptcy of GW and some are just funnyClimate change alliance crumblingThis one is particularly funny Carbon prices fall in wake of CopenhagenThis one is the funniest of them all, it is right up there with becoming a vegetarian to save the world from cow flatulence ;D Polluting pets: the devastating impact of man's best friend. Here is a choice quote from the last article
But the best way of compensating for that paw or clawprint is to make sure your animal is dual purpose, the Vales urge. Get a hen, which offsets its impact by laying edible eggs, or a rabbit, prepared to make the ultimate environmental sacrifice by ending up on the dinner table.
The madness doesnt stop. And who says the proponents of GW are not creating a new religion?

ParticipantCopenhagen reminds me The Brigands: an op?ra bouffe, or operetta, by Jacques Offenbach wherein the carabinieri always arrive too late to capture the thieves…Why did Copenhagen fail to deliver a climate deal?http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/8426835.stm Climate summit: Where's the beef?http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/8422367.stm

ParticipantI like how the list of reasons it failed are one of them explicitly blame the US and a further three implicitly blame the US. Not really any mention of the fact that the developing world stands to lose even bigger from climate agreements than they ever did from colonialism except in a sideways manner.Maybe the rest of the world is finding out how shallow Obama really is now, we have known it since before the inauguration. He is an empty suit that works for his radical base, not what is best for the people or world at large. On a personal note, I am glad Copenhagen failed. That wont stop the EU from ruining their own economy with onerous regulation though. There are plenty of Kool-aid drinkers here in Europe that will see to that.

ParticipantWhat is more suicidal ? To prevent or to wait more ?

ParticipantGood question.

ParticipantThat assumes that the gun is loaded. If we buy that assumption then to prevent is the proper course of action. The argument now is whether there is even a gun, much less whether it is loaded or not. It is not waiting if you dont think it is happeneing in the first place now is it?

ParticipantAs predicted, this story has been buried while the supporters of GW keep right on barreling ahead in their efforts to destroy the economies of the advanced countries. Here are some select stories published recently:1. A pretty good editorial from the Washington Times about AP's coverage of the story: EDITORIAL: Biased reporting on Climategate2. One from Cape Cod: Climategate justifies fears of scientific manipulation3. US Legislation: Climate bill chaos: Your guide to the two newest proposals4. A piece from China: Self-serving calculations behind carbon tariff proposal The GW types are not going to stop because of a few emails. They are True Believers and I dont know that anything will change their minds. That is why rational people have to be vigiliant.

ParticipantA kind of “never-ending” debate…
January 2, 2010 at 3:52 pm #17423scout1067
ParticipantAs long is it is not a true debate then it should continue. One saying saying we are right and the rest should shut up and get with the program is not a debate.

KeymasterIt's a “brisk” -18 degrees F here…I think the high temp was 0 degrees today. With trillions pumped into the fight against global warming, maybe we could push the mercury down to -25 degree days here. 😛

ParticipantIt's not that cold over here. A high of 24F and a low of somewhere around 12F. I could use a little Global Warming when I scrape the ice and snow off my window in the morning. my wife gets the garage. 🙁
