ParticipantObama was vetted and chosen by Henry Kissinger and David Rockefeller. The election was electronically rigged. I don't care what anyone says, I'd rather believe this than the American people were stupid enough to elect this buffoon.

ParticipantThat Obama was elected can happen. The he was re-elected despite all the evidence of incompetence is conclusive proof of the stupidity of the average voter. Of course, that the GOP put forward someone like Romney is not a mark of intelligence on the part of the GOP. Romney was Obama light in a lot of ways.

I think Romney would have been light years better than Obama has been during his second term. No, not an ideal patriot, but someone we could have worked with. I would have been frustrated with Romney at times, but overall I imagine he would have brought the country in the right direction.

ParticipantThis column from Mark Steyn says it all about why our country is headed towards civil war. Knockouts High and Low What is sad is that it takes a Canadian expat to point it out so tellingly. The really sad part is that while many will complain about the coarseness of society and the shenanigans of legislators what is anybody really doing about it? I am as guilty as most. At some point people like me will say enough. The question is when is that point reached? I have some ideas and some scenarios i think are plausible that will tell me when that time comes.

KeymasterAs to Civil War, I would not count it out. In fact, if I had to lay odds, I would guess the chances of Civil War in the next 10 years to be somewhere around 3 for 5. … What I think will happen is that the tyranny loving libs will overreach and provoke a reaction. I also think any civil war will start at the State level and not among groups of individuals. The federal government is it’s own worst enemy right now and it is busy going out of its way to anger the portion of the population that knows how to fight and be productive. Very smart that. All America needs right now is a charismatic person willing to stand up and say enough.Yes, I think Civil War is a distinct possibility.
Kind of crazy that you made this prediction back in 2013 and eight years later, we are nearing that exact civil war. You also astutely said that the left will “overreach and provoke a reaction”, which seems highly likely now that Biden has taken over the the left is encroaching more and more on basic rights.
