Has anyone ever heard of the Golden Key International Honor Society or is it a bunch of crap?
I have only heard of it through school. I dont know anything else about and I dont know anyone who has been invited to join. I was not, even though I met the criteria while getting my BA.
Well now you do. I can accept the invitation if I pay $70. I don't think it's a scam, but you have to pay?!?
I think that is standard with most collegiate level Honor Societies.

I had never heard of it. The $70 membership fee does sound a bit suspect...not suspect as in fraudulent, but suspect into whether it will be helpful to you if you were to join. It may end up simply being a networking organization, which isn't bad as long as you know what you're getting into. If you're going to spend money, you might want to consider joining a historical society like the Society for Historical Archaeology (or something else).
I'll have to think about this. I'd rather join AHA or something, but don't know how much it cost. PLus it gives access to a few historical journals. I joined NASSH. It was only $25/yr and I get two journals with the membership.
I am a member of De Re Militar and the Society for Military History. I get journals with both and the memberships run about $50 a years.
