The movies aren't historical,? but the character of James Bond is IMHO.? Who was your favorite? What do you think of the new guy who's going to portray him?? ?Casino Royale is coming out in November.
Didn't Ian Fleming write the original books in the early 20th Century? I could be wrong on that, though. What is interesting is how the Bond character is rather timeless. I bet the movies became popular in the 1960s because of our heightened awareness of Cold War espionage and whatnot. My favorite have to be some of the earlier Sean Connery movies. They just don't make them quite like that anymore, and Connery was the best Bond. I haven't seen the new guy in action so I can't judge all that accurately, but he doesn't look like like he'd be a good Bond from the get go, IMO.
I think they were written in the 50's. And yes the movies had a cold war “theme” to them. Connery is my favorite too. I've seen this new guy in a couple of movies and he's a good actor. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
I cant decide between Connery and Brosnan. But if I had to pick I would have to go with Sean. I dont know about the new guy either, doesnt fit the mold.
Sean Connery is by far the best James Bond. I love Goldfinger.
Who do you guys like better as…..was it Q? The original (cant rmember his name) or John Cleese?
Saw Casino Royale. It wasnt bad. He makes a good Bond. It deals with his getting his 00 status. I wont say much more for those who havnt seen it. Great stuntwork and a good story.
i love james bond.i watched the new movie the day it came out and it was great! i would say one of the best in the collection. i have all the dvds 😀
