KeymasterThe Great Awakening topic looks sad and lonely. Although I originally began this forum with that board in mind, I'm thinking of merging it with Early Colonies.

ParticipantGood move. A wider range of content will make that board more attractive to post in.

ParticipantI don't think the Great Awakening is a subject that many people are familiar with as I don't remember ever reading about it until I was out of school.

KeymasterWell then

Well then perhaps you'll like to peruse another site of mine: http://www.great-awakening.com

KeymasterI have further consolidated the Slavery and Civil War boards into one. As Donnie's Great Awakening moderating power diminished, his Civil War authority increased! If you have any other recommendations for consolodations, lemme know.

ParticipantIt's we humble peasents in the middle who suffer during such power struggles. 🙁

KeymasterI am thinking that the Vietnam War board could be merged with Recent History, which could cover 'Nam through today's era. What does the Senate have to say of this?

ParticipantSounds good. I know this could be considered with in their own time periods, but what about one dedicated to the science of archeology/anthropology, maybe a historical pictures/maps gallery, historical arts and literature? I'm just concerned that the smaller the board becomes then the less interesting it will seem to potential members.

ParticipantThe number of forum boards should be reflective of the number of posts in them. If the boards are not being used very much and the topics slightly overlap, then I think merging them is the right thing to do at this time. If the need ever arises when the board starts to really take on more members who demand a wider variety or more topic specific boards, then they can easily be created.

ParticipantI agree it is sad to see a board neglected, but still think you should look at how someone will view the forum upon their first look (first impressions.)
