Worth a quick look.http://timeline.americanrevolutioncenter.org/Notice how the last Revolutionary War pensioner died in 1906.
Excellent !
I like that presentation. I wonder what software they used? I know it was flash, but what software did they use to build it?
It was likely proprietary software used by this company. They've made some other historical timelines like this one on Vice Presidents who became Presidents; you can see their list of sites here.
I'm impressed with their work. I'd love to have Adobe flash software to do similar projects. I don't have the money right now to buy it.
That is an interesting time-line. The pensioner bit was unsurprising, didnt the last confederate widow die just a few years ago? I found it, she died in 2004 or thereabouts.
Yeah I had heard about that Civil War widow, but the fact that there was a widow from the birth of our nation living into the 20th century was also pretty cool, at least to me. We actually have a thread on that Civil War widow here:And here's a neat site with the last veterans from a series of American wars:http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0778679.htmlIn the end, finding these things out really makes one realize how short America has been around.
Yeah it is like the feeling I got when my parish priest pointed out to me that the church I go to every Sunday was built before America was discovered. It was built in 1448.
Nice site. I wonder why they left out the Battle of Cowpens. It looks like they had enough space.
