A Canadian woman recently bought a bundle of Revolutionary era documents at an estate sale in NY. One was signed by Ben Franklin's bastard son and one bears the English royal seal. Unfortunately, it appears that the documents being to the state of NJ and they want them back. Also unfortunately, the article does not say much about what the documents are other than authentic documents from that era. How cool would that be to find something like that at a garage sale though?
That would be cool but it sounds like they might have been stolen from state archives. I hope she didn't pay too much for them or else she will be forced to get her money back from the estate.
The story says she paid 3$. It also said she plans on giving them back to NJ.
