Hi there. I'm looking to purchase a certain and specific type of hat worn during the Revolutionary era in the United States (and possibly elsewhere, though I don't know). However, I can't seem to find the actual name of this hat anywhere, and thus, cannot find it to purchase. The only image of it which I've been able to find is actually from the 2000 Mel Gibson film The Patriot.Here is a a YouTube video which features a couple of scenes with the hat. In the scene where the Dragoons attack the plantation house which Mel Gibson's kids are staying at during the war, one of the sons is out on the porch in the evening with a rifle keeping watch.
