Not trying to stir up the conspiracy theorists, but with Jack Ruby having ties to the mob, why did he assassinate Oswald? I cant see him as a flag waving patriot grieved by the death of his president and bent on revenge.
This is a question that people have differing opinions on. When I lived in the Dallas area, I knew four brothers who were nephews of Mr. Campisi, who was a friend of Ruby's and who I believe was among the first to visit him in jail. Campisi also owns a restaurant in Dallas which goes by his name.
So many theories so little info.
Jack Ruby had friends in the Police Dept. which allowed him access to the area. He probably thought that public opinion would get him off. If Oswald was dead he couldn't provide info on any others who might have been involved. I doubt that the truth will ever be known about whether it was a conspiracy or the act of one lone gunman who shot JFK
I'm no conspiracy theorist, but if it smells like fish and tastes like fish……
I heard an interview with this mans son last night, very interesting. Hunt lays the blame of the Kennedy assasanation squarely at the feet of LBJ saying he was obssesed with becoming president. He recorded an audio tape and gave it to his son just before he died last January. If what he claims is true, then in 1963 this country experienced a coup.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E._Howard_Hunt
