    …happened on June 9, 1772 in Warwick, RI when the HMS Gaspee, a British ship enforcing trade regulations, ran aground in shallow water of the Rhode Island coast.     Is that you on the left wearing the white knickers or on the right dragging the cannon?  ;DAfter reading the account of the Gaspee I still don't understand the motives for boarding it and burning it in 1772.

    Because it was British? Or maybe it's because RI was filled with terrorists.  😀
