Lost Jewish tribe 'found in Zimbabwe'http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/8550614.stm I've heard that the lost tribe was found in Ethiopa where they were called Beta Israel or Falasha (exiles-strangers in ge'ez) and brought back in Israel (operation Salomon).BTW how big-important was that lost tribe ?
How did they get lost?
I am surprised that this connection – or the DNA testing – wasn't made before now.Is there textual reference to their fleeing the Holy Land?

Aha–more stories: Lost tribe.. This is a subject based upon written religious tradition and partially upon speculation. There is a vast amount of literature on the Lost Tribes and no specific source can be relied upon for a complete answer.
