I also dont see the problem with law-abiding citizens owning whatever they want. The key concept in that is law-abiding.
What if the law is corrupt and/or unconstitutional? If an armed civilian is a threat to a corrupted government, then laws can be corrupted to take the rights of the citizen. The right to bear arms should be limited to the unquestionably insane.
Thanks for the link. I spent a bunch of time looking through there. Aren't malls in warmer areas actually on decline? Sure there are plenty of them and large ones being built. But proportionally to the population, I'd think that there are not as many as in the 60', 70', and 80's. The recent trend seems to be large stores with access from the outside only. Think Supper Target, Walmart, Kohl's etc.
I'm guessing that unusual items like the Kennedy's shirt show up on eBay for the publicity. If a couple of news stories come out then likely buyers might get word.
Well, it would matter a lot, IMO. One is an act of aggression (full scale bombing campaign or invasion) and one is an act of self-defense. However it's done, it needs to be done aggressively by following through. I don't think precision bombing will escalate into full scale war. If anything, it will will prevent a full war and promote regional stability. Iraq is a big key in all this...I wish people would realize that. :- We (the U.S) may not even have to take any miltary action against Iran at all.
Neither a full attack nor a limited bombing is an act of self defense. They are both acts of aggression. Both with negative results. You take shots at a country, destroying infrastructure and likely causing deaths, and you now have an enemy that wants revenge. And will plot to get that revenge. In the case of Iran, there is growing popular support against the leadership of Ahmadinejad. A bombing campaign will only make him stronger.
If it was one bomb, then maybe I would think it was an intelligence error. But when the torpedo boats came after the initial airstrikes and shot at and killed or injured our men in lifeboats (a violation of international law), it was no mistake. It was a war crime.
The Liberty was flying a large American flag, it had GTR5 on the side. From picutures of it prior to the attack, it was obviously not armed. Hours worth of recon in clear weather. No mistake. Not even if it was just one bomb.
The odds are slim as hell. I don't feel like doing the math, but it is quite extraordinary. What surprises me is that Hartmann would be so brash as to actually have a picture of himself in SS uniform on display. He must have been aware that the OSI was still on the hunt. That speaks volumes about his beliefs. Sounds to me like he was still nostalgic for his days as a Nazi.
Yep, amazing. I guess you need a certain amount of eccentricity to be that creative and devoted to building something like that. So, what legal problems does the guy have?
From what I find theFreemasons are anything but a demonic, pagan organiztion."Open to all faiths, Freemasonry has certain ?landmarks? by which they live. One landmark in-particular is an acknowledged faith in God."This Quote from What Is A Freemason:http://www.freemasoninformation.com/General/whatisamason.htmOne one the best men I ever had the pleasure of knowing was a 33 degree Mason(My wife's great uncle)Buggfuzz
The article indicates that Freemasonry is a craft (several times). It also states that it has been denounced by Catholic, Christian, and Islamic faiths as heretic.
Where you get your info about freemasons makes a huge difference, the last place you want to look is towards conspiracy theories. You will get two sides to every story. I will be the first to admit though they are a strange orginization. By the way welcome to the WCF!
Thanks for the welcome. I think that the book that I read presents a reasonable view of Freemasons. From what I can see, it mostly presents what look like informational facts.Such as, how wide spread the organization is. I doubt you will find a town of any size that does not have a Masonic temple. A list of historical American and world figures that were members, probably mostly accurate, a very long list. Various Masonic symbols within currency, and street layout of DC, and design of monuments there. On the back of the one dollar bill. Annuit Coeptis, Novaus Ordo Seclorum. (New World Order). Draw a line from the M of Seclorum to the A of Annuit to the O of Ordo to the S of Coeptis to the N of Novas. Its a pentagram. The letters spell MASON. The same picture has the ever watching eye. Another Mason symbol. One small example above. It goes on and on. The entire layout of DC has demonic and Masonic symbols, from the layout of the White house to the Pentagon, to the positioning of major buildings, to the grid that makes up DC itself. All those things appear to be facts. To me, what is unclear is what it all means. Frankly, after reading the book and looking around, I can not see any evidence to support any other conclusion than that Masons are basically some type of Pagan group. If anyone can point me to reasonable information that could explain the organizations purpose, or put them in a light other than Pagan and demonic, that would be appreciated. No, I'm not a "conspiracy theorist".
he was canceled for being "too sophisticated" for the housewife audience
That's kinda funny! ;DWasn't it much more than just Jeopardy he produced? Merv Griffin Productions I think was his company. He certainly died a very rich man.
He must have had a fairly large business portfolio. I remember that he owned a casino in Lake Charles, Louisiana for a while. It was later sold to Harrah's, eventually to be destroyed during Hurricane Rita. I don't recall the name when he owned it.
That's true, but there are a lot more military people now in a position of power who aren't afraid anymore to speak up against Cheney's warmongering. CENTCOM commander Adm Fallon is one. He advised against sending more aircraft carriers to the Persian Gulf.
There is opposition to attacking Iran everywhere you look. So far it looks like that might have tempered the administration down to trying to sale surgical bombing of certain sites. What does it matter if we all out attack the country or take out a limited number of targets. Its still an act of aggression that can only have one outcome. Escalation. What does that escalation lead to? Nothing good.
