The article is referring to the Battle of Trapani in 241 B.C., which was the final naval battle of the First Punic War. Therefore, I don't think it is correct to label Carthage as a power in decline since it took 80 years and two more cataclysmic wars for Rome to finally utterly defeat Carthage.
Then I would tie in the Great Awakening site to WCF and please stay away from Drupal. WordPress is all you need and it's so much easier to deal with. I would definitely contribute to the Great Awakening site once you got it up and running.
I kind of like that at WCF you jump right in to the forum. I think a front end kind of distracts from the purpose of a forum. that and a forum generates it's own content.
The front end can be used to get folks to the forum...more Google links.
I too noticed they made Carthage out to be in decline. Carthage was not in decline until they lost their death match with Rome. Even then, the wars were protracted and won by attrition.
The US and China will never go to war over Japan. Taiwan maybe, but doubtful. America and China are joined at the hip economically now so a war would be very bad for business on both sides.
In the general consciousness, isn't Kennedy mentioned in the top three or so?
He's the most romanticized President, but what did he actually accomplish? Had he not been killed, he might have led us into the Vietnam War and had LBJ's baggage. The Cuban Missile Crisis was a near blunder and the Bay of Pigs was his darkest hour. Not to mention his affair with Marilyn Monroe. I could go on to debunk Camelot, but I won't. He did get us going on our way to the moon though. He just didn't have enough time to do more.
He falls in the same category, but his ascension to power might have been easier than the big three.
You're sure of that 🙂 ?His empire lasted longer than those three and even increased its size after his death. Biggest Mongol invasion of Europe took place in 1241-1242. That's fourteen years after Genghis' death.
But he didn't have to fight the Persians, British/Russians, and the Allies either.
I don't want to abuse you, but I doubt you know what you're talking about 🙂http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genghis_KhanConditions which he had to face were easier than those of Hitler but I think it doesn't matter.Another man who built big, lasting empire from nothing is Mr. Babur the Great http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Babur
Okay I stand corrected. How many divisions did Genghis Khan face?
