I'm not sure but it is a very interesting notion. I would probably say that it was discovered prior to Columbus even if by a small group of men who couldn't get back to Europe. History would never know. So I see it as a very feasible notion. I would have loved to live during this era. There was so much to discover in the world.__________My stupid history professoris making us write aterm paperover Christmas Break. Professor Scrooge. Grrrrrrr >:(
Wow, it is surprising this is not more well known. I'm 2 years into my history major and haven't heard anything about this through High School or anything. This is an interesting subject though. I might look more into it voluntarily. You would think that would have added tension between the two countries in an already tension laiden time.__________My stupid history professoris making us write aterm paperover Christmas Break. Wow, that is surprising to hear. They must be desperate for money. I would be pretty sketchy about this though. Although I'm kind of paranoid about radiation. I actually almost became an X-Ray Tech prior to deciding to switch to a major in History. I had to do a report on Chernobyl which radiation tends to stick around for a while hehe. I'm with you guys for the most part. I'll only go if there is a 3 headed goat hehe.__________My stupid history professoris making us write aterm paperover Christmas Break. Professor Scrooge. That does sound like a very good read. I will put it on my Christmas list maybe. Although it's getting kind of late for that hehe. I don't really believe that WWII is any different from other wars in saying that it was unnecessary. No war is truly necessary, however, obviously there are civilizations that feel they are. Hitler wanted to take over the world and wouldn't stop until somebody stopped him. Obviously, other sovereign would have big problem with that to put it lightly. So I don't see how this war would be less necessary than others.__________My stupid history professoris making us write aterm paperover Christmas Break. Professor Scrooge. Grrrrrrr >:(
I think that history will always have fallacies in it. As the cliche goes, the winner of the war gets to write the history. Inherent in that saying is an admission that history is far from perfect. Now obviously we must strive to make it as accurate as possible so I think concern is good but I'm sure a ton of history that we have just come to accept is false. After all, we weren't there and we can't go back to prove it on a lot of things.__________My stupid history professoris making us write aterm paperover Christmas Break. Professor Scrooge. Grrrrrrr >:(
