Last week, while walking along the old Siegfried line near St Vith I stumbled upon two German Hand grenades at the bottom of an old foxhole. I stopped my explorations at that point as Mr Shrier does not mess with UXO's and does not even want to be anywhere near them.

Emergency supplies should always be stored in secure containers. If you had bought my book you would know that. You should also periodically check your emergency supplies to ensure that 1, they are still good, and 2, they are still good. I try to check my durable and stored stuff at least quarterly and I often check them monthly. Emergency stores have to be rotated often.

Don't hold your breath. The Western Democracies are paper tigers at best. Very few Europeans see their strategic interests at stake in Russian expansion at the cost of the Ukraine. Then again very few democracies thought their freedom was at stake at the cost of the border regions of Czechoslovakia either.
