    Probably because he was crazy and egotistical.  If he had left the military operations to his generals we might all be speaking German today. 

    He proved this at Stalingrad.

    Well I'm back. My computer is up and running (one mother board, processor, memory stick and power supply later) I am so glad I have a software engineer as a friend 😀

    The last full Measure, about the end of the Civil war (the third book that makes up the trilogy in the Shaara series) Was optoined but has yet to start production.

    I watched a program on the history channel on that very subject, and just like you said H.H. the two in charge were held responsible when they had no intel or warning from Washington.

    I know when they should have changed, during the civil war. Modern weapons agaisnt archaic battle lines made for horrific casualties
