I'd like to dust off and share some of the sites I have bookmarked. Maybe I've already shown this one, but it's kind of cool nonetheless – before and after photos.http://www.thirdreichruins.com/
I have actually met the guy that owns this site. He used to live in Schweinfurt when I was stationed there, I think he still does, but I only get to Schweinfurt on the weekends now to see the in-laws. Very cool website. It is especially cool to look at pictures of places I have been and see them as they were. In Schweinfurt, there is a park called the Schutberg that is a hill made of all the debris and rubble from downtown. They bulldozed the old town into a huge pile and grassed it over. Some archaeologist is going to have a blast with that someday.
