You may have seen this already – a selection of newly-released photos of Hitler, taken by one of this personal photographers. "The leader of genius must have the ability to make different opponents appear as if they belong to one category."The more times/generations of politicians change, the more they stay the same.
I think I have made the comparison between the two before. Both Hitler and Obama are/were dangerous, charismatic, demagogues. It remains to be seen whether Obama will lead America to its ruin as Hitler did to Germany. I am not willing to place any bets though as the American people in general seem happy to worship “The One” as the Germans did Hitler. Obama even has an economic crisis like Hitler did. In fact, the similarities between 1933 Germany and 2009 America are remarkable.

Notice I did not say equals but similar. The similarities are there. Both are demagogues, both demonize their opponents, both seek to capitalize on popular economic discontent, both indirectly promote hero worship. I don't think he is quite ready to fire up the ovens just yet but other liberals are, you should read some of the articles and comments on Daily Kos or Huffington Post some time. It is scary.Its true too that I cant stand Obama, and I think him and liberals are bad for America. That being said, the Republicans are no better. What is really hurting America is the two party system. The multi-party system is perhaps the only thing I admire about European style parliamentary democracy. At least their just about everybody does get a seat at the table or at least their voice is heard.
