I'm tinkering with an online program to generate courses with. Anyone have any online course material they use for classes (for the teachers here)? I'm using ATutor software and just installed an older version of it tonight at Writers of History. Would anyone be interested in using this program? I think it could be fun if it's done properly. It's online at courses.writersofhistory.com
Yes, in a self taught way. Someone designs the course and people can go through it on their own to help them bone up on things they feel they are weak in. It's more of a tutor session than anything.
I think I'm going to like the software. Perhaps we can do a joint effort here. I've started a course entitled Readings In Colonial America. It's going to be a survey course using source documents (of which I have quite a few). I will probably need help in readings, test questions etc….If you guys want to help out with this course or create one of your own choosing, that would be great too. If you are a teacher with a class, and want to use it for your students for extra credit, I think that would be cool too. 🙂
When you go to "home", what is the first step a person is supposed to take?
I don't know what you mean? Just login and click "create course" to get started. Your options should be My Courses, Browse Courses, and Create Course. Right?
