I read that earlier today and the guys in my office and I decided that he had to be both the luckiest and unluckiest guy the world at the same time. Nuked twice and he still lived to be 93. My hat is off to him, he is definitely a part of history. I just wonder what he thought when the second bomb went off, if it was something along the lines of “not again”.
That thought crossed my mind as well. I bet at the time he was thinking that many Japanese cities would be hit with A-bombs.
