All,I am back from 3 days in the hospital.  Long story short, I broke my nose several years ago and have not been able to breathe right since so I had surgery to fix it, the doc said the surgery went well and I will have to take his word for it.  I don't know yet whether it was worth it.  3 days of misery with my nose stuffed with what were essentially 8 inch tampons and now it is stuffed with cream and plastic splints that are supposed to come out next week.  I am now laying around the house for the next ten days while my nose heals up and hopefully I will be able to breathe right, it has been so long I don't remember what it was like anymore to be able to breathe through my nose.  I will be trying to catch back up on the board over the next few days.I will say that German hospitals are in some ways very different from American ones.  I cant say which are better, they both have things to recommend them.  They do take very good care of you in German hospitals and I think the nurses showed more concern than the one time I was in an American hospital.  but both are good, if you have to get hospitalized in Europe, do it in Germany is what I would say.  I have only been in English hospitals in Europe before and the German one put England's to shame.
