An online database has been created to allow searching for entries in the Domesday Book with free access.It's here:http://domesday.pase.ac.uk/Be patient - it seems to be getting crushed right now. It can be a little disheartening to search; makes me wonder if some of my ancestors are mythical creatures (or I don't use the right spelling or ???).
Still running pretty slow but a cool website nonetheless. I have a copy of the Domesday Book at home, did I now waist the price I paid for it?
