Here is an interesting slideshow of pictures taken during the Blitz and from a current exhibit set up in Aldwych Tube Station today. My Aunt told me stories of watching the bombers fly over during the war but these pictures kind of bring it home a little better. Keep in mind that England did not get hit near as hard any of the major cities in Germany.
The decor from the late 1930s was quite cool…
I have seen flea markets here in Germany where you can buy original Nazi propaganda posters. I have never bought any but I have thought about it and then selling them in the states. I would assume you can do the same in England as well. It is amazing the amount of militaria you can find at flea markets in Germany. About 15 years ago I bought a signed copy of Mein Kampf at a flea market in Schweinfurt for $20, I sold in the States to a collector for $300. I know some guys that hit flea markets all the time to buy Nazi memorabilia and take it to the states to sell. I even know a guy that has an original Kubelwagen that he bought and restored.
