I bought the domain name interleaguesports.com.  It will be about all sports professional and amateur.  I spend so much time on sports message boards these days, I finally broke down and decided to get a board of my own going.  Of course I'm going to need a staff hint hint ;.I'll be working on a logo while I'm waiting for my domain to be registered and setup for configuration.  Any ideas on how to go about this will be hugely beneficial.  Since I'm not much into professional sports, I'll be reliant upon someone else to start discussions there.  I'll concentrate on NCAA stuff since I love the amateur side. 😀

Well my other boards are based around niche subjects and will never ever be that big.  This can be a board that will be general enough to attract anyone and can be self sustaining as most folks like talking sports without being stupid (for the most part).

Well it seems like there are quite a few sports forums around, so if you have a special angle to it, it will be more likely to work.  I'm not sure, however, what this angle might be.  I would suggest starting out by transferring the sports threads from WoH and the ol' GA forum to the new forum, if possible (it would get things started).

I would probably participate but just about the only sports I watch are college football and German Bundesliga soccer.

I'll take care of rugby and some pro football.  May I also recommend a section titled “The dominance of New England pro sport teams”  ;D

I think I'm going to break it down into pro and amateur sections and have sub sections for sports politics and economics (player contracts, franchise financial news including expansion and contraction of professional leagues).  I'll also have NCAA conference sections with BCS expansion/realignment topics.  There will be a ton of topic sections, but it has to be organized in a unique way.  And yes Rugby, soccer, and other sports are to be a part of this.  I want a smack talk section too to get the blood flowing. 🙂

Then if we're taking recommendations, how about a whole topic simply entitled, “Favre”.  ;D

Hey, it's all about the drama, right?  The topic would be about all Favre-related topics, good and bad.  😉

Since most of you are going to be admins, you can create whatever board you think is pertinent to the success of the website.  I'm wide open to anything. 🙂  Hopefully I'll have it up sometime tonight or tomorrow.

Is there any possibility of doing fantasy baseball or football on this board?
