Archaeologists in Baden-W?rttemberg have excavated a 2,600 year-old Celtic tomb. Some of the objects found are pretty cool looking and will no doubt provide some insight into Celtic grave goods. What I found especially interesting is that the entire tomb was dug out as a unit and trucked to a university lab for complete excavtaion there. In the gallery linked to in the story there is a picture of the grave being lifted by two cranes. I have never heard of that before but further research shows that that is a common practice for archaeology sites in Europe.
That is interesting, and too bad we don't have photos of it going on. Must not have been so big they couldn't move it with them.
