Work has been done on the “other” tunnel built by POWs at Stalag Luft III in Zagan, made famous by the movie The Great Escape.  This was a tunnel named “George” that POWs started working on – but never used – after the other POWs made their escape through the other, more famous, tunnels.Introducing George ? the lesser known tunnel of The Great Escape
