I just finished a paper earlier today. Two more to go. I am kind of glad the professor had the paper due now, before Thanksgiving, because after Thanksgiving it becomes a mad house when you have multiple papers to finish up. Fortunately, I have all next week off from school, so I will be working on them for at least part of the week.
I kind of miss school now that my degree is finished. I could not wait to be done but now that I am I kind of miss it. Funny isn't it? I don't miss the army at all, but I miss school.
I know what you mean. There is something about the seasons of academia which is nice to be a part of, and about making one's way through a semester-long class to its end.
I almost get the feeling sometimes that I have stopped learning, and I don't like it.
My semester wrapped up this week for the most part as I finished and turned in my take home exam on Tuesday. I have to turn in grades to the registrar for the class I teach by next Tuesday, but otherwise I am more or less done. I am trying to make Christmas break relatively productive so I ordered one of the supposedly good histories of Venice from Amazon yesterday. Anyway, it is nice to get a little break.
