Wiki link hereNot sure how accurate the info is in the above link, but how big a deal was this one day, few hour meeting of the German leaders? Hitler's plans of exterminating/moving the Jews were already in play. Did this conference finalize the decision?
I watched this movie about it a while back. It's basically a film of a meeting where the “final solution” was hatched. Not sure how accurate it is.
As I understand it, the Wansee Conference finalized and formalized the extermination of the Jews. It was not a start but rather the final stepstone before the Final Solution got underway in earnest.
Too bad the British didn't bomb it while they were in there.

There was no way to know what was happening in there at the time and no guarantee they could hit it if they did. There was a reason the Allies bombed cities and not smaller targets. Regardless of how goods the Norden bombsight was, it still didn't let them target areas less than 1/2 a mile across.
