In an archive German academics have found a surviving copy of the “Nazi Bible”, the Nazis attempt to rewrite the Old and New Testament. The brief for the authors was clear: “The Bible must become Jew-free and the German people must see that the Jews are the mortal enemy who threaten their very existence.” In order to cleanse the Bible from all references to the Jewish people, words like Jehovah, Hallelujah, and Jerusalem were replaced, the latter with "eternal city of God".The ten commandments were re-written and another two added: "Honour your Fuehrer and master! Joyously serve the people with work and sacrifice. " It was actually printed in 1941 and a few thousand copies were distributed around German churches. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=399470&in_page_id=1770
Trying to make the Bible “Jew-free” is kind of like making the air oxygen-free.
