    I belong to Old Abe Camp #16, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War in Topeka Kansas. It's a great organization and I love what we do honoring the veterans who fought to preserve our Union as well as honoring veterans as a whole.I thought that y'all might enjoy this....     He is... he is marching in front of Old Abe Camp... I believe the guy next to him is toting a French flag... This was for support of WWI to get citizens to join up. Old Abe Camp is marching behind the fellow holding up their placard.

    Ahah.  I did not notice the tri-color just the Union Jack.  It does make sense if it was a war march though.  Thanks for the clarification.

    I assumed that was an Irish flag, rather than French, but too hard to tell in black and white.  I assume this was being done especially to attract the immigrant or first-generation American populations.
