Lehigh University student sues over grade, seeks $1.3 millionI am curious to know if she wins this one but I bet they settle out of court. Apparently the girl needed a B to get state-certified but only got a C+ in the class because she never showed up to actual class. Now she is suing because essentially she claims the instructor was mean and the bad grade cost her her career. Oh yeah, the girl went to school for free because her father was a professor at the school.I actually think this is pathetic and hope the school takes it to court and wins to set the precedent that Grades come from student achievement, not school intimidation.
I was talking about that story to my office mate yesterday. How absurd. Did you also see the part about the student claiming bias by the teacher because the student “advocated for gay and lesbian rights”? I wonder if that claim is going to be taken seriously at all. If so, could bias against a conservative student by a liberal professor be used as a basis for a suit?
I will not put anything past them when “gay & Lesbian rights” enter the picture. That particular perversion is the liberal cause du jour right now and anything is therefore possible.
The GLBT's are the biggest bullies (which is ironic seeing that they cry the most about bullying), so that school better watch out.
