I'm hoping some idiot Leftist who is all panicking about the non-existant sea level rises will sell his house at a below market price. I want to retire out there! The beaches along the Cape Cod National Seashore are endless and beautiful. Attached is a picture from Coast Guard Beach in Eastham looking towards Nauset Light Beach. Great white sharks patrol the waters along here because there is a huge seal wildlife refuge (with colonies of thousands) about 5 or 6 miles south of this point. I was there Tues, saw a seal about 50 yards out but didn't see any sign of sharks...but you know they're out there.
Yeah, there's no traffic when I leave early enough. This one's out on the Mid Cape (about 1-1/2 hrs). It's worth the trip. Going again tomorrow.You should consider visiting, Phid.
Yeah, that would be nice to visit. It would have to be part of a longer trip, though. Here's what my daytrips look like these days:
Ha! I meant more like the destination we went to on a day trip earlier this summer. Kind of a quaint antebellum town that is known for being spared by Sherman when he marched through Georgia. We would still like to make it to Savannah, but even that is more than a mere day trip.

That's the problem with big states. ;DHere's a picture of a seal I took yesterday at that same beach. There were dozens of them. (leave early to not only avoid traffic, you get to see lots of these guys)
