A few months back i went to the Dali museum in Florida and to begin with it just looked kinda rubbish but when we went on a tour it is truely amazing. his life story and all his artworks.http://www.dali-gallery.com/check some of them out and look closely at the pictures, they all have double images, secrets and if you get the chance visit the museum in either florida or europe.

Dali is quite well known these days, and his painting of the drooping clocks comes to mind. I haven't studied him very much at all, though, and so I'm not sure of his place in the history of art in terms of impact or influence.
well I was going to ask if he was still painting but it looks as though he died in 1989. I guess I am just a simple guy, I dont get the whole surrealisitc/abstract thing.
