This is the discussion thread for the article, “I got spam email from….Steve Mnuchin?”.
I just got mine, but he’s giving me $1.5 million! Mine has an especially nice touch asking me to text him rather than call him because he might be busy with treasury meetings.
What? That means I’m getting ripped off with an offer of only $500k!
Actually, it makes me wonder where they get these ludicrous dollar figures from. Why not offer $10 million or $20 million to people? I wonder if there’s a rationale behind the numbers or if the spammers are basically just throwing darts on a wall to come up with them.
