I clicked the links tab and it didn't do anything. Also, is that a mod or is it part of the vanilla install? I was wondering since I don't have a links tab at CL. I looked to see if I could activate it in the admin panel and I didn't see it. Is it worth having?
I haven't re-installed it since the last upgrade, but it should be available in my current database. I will have to get around to installing the package again. Currently it just re-directs to the home page so I figured there's no real harm done right now. It's a separate mod that you'll have to install and doesn't come with the vanilla install. Yes, I think it's worth having since it's nice to have a separate area to post links that might relate to a forum.
Well I have to hesitate in installing that mod because I have members who will only post links to sites that have nothing to do with Christian Legacies. 🙂
The nice thing about it is that you can require users to have a certain rank in order to submit and validate link suggestions. You can also set it so that you have to “ok” all link submissions. That should keep the riff raff links off your site. 🙂
Are they still disabled? When I click on Links it just takes me back to the index.
Yes, they are still disabled. I never got around to reinstalling the program that made it possible. I can't recall if I tried and it didn't work or if I didn't even try.
