I dont know if everyone is aware of this, but Google Streetview is unavailable in Germany because the German government is concerned that people might see the outside of someones house and all the usual hysterics that attend the launch of Streetview everywhere. I actually saw the Streetview car near my house last year but still no streetview in Germany. I recently found this site: Sightwalk. It has essentially the same thing as streetview for several of the larger cities in Germany. You can see many of the famous places in Munich such ths Feldherrnhalle where the Nazi's had a plaque and permanent gaurd over the spot where their "Martyrs" died during the 1923 pusch attempt. The linked view shows where the plaque was at, just above the head of the guy talking on his phone. If you pan to the right at the far end of the picture is a cafe that has outstanding beer.Just though I would throw this out for anybody that wants to vicariously tour select German cities.
Not impossible. I saw a picture in a Newspaper recently where the lions had been draped with the German tricolor during the World Cup. A friend of mine actually cried when Germany lost their semi-final game. I had to try real hard to not laugh.

It was kind of sad watching the French team fall apart. I won't say that I was unhappy to see it though. They could have easily beat Mexico, the problem was there were eleven French individuals playing against a Mexican TEAM. Team play is what got America into the Round of 16, if they had more start power they could have went further. By contrast, if the French had played as a team they could have very well won the tournament, they hadd all the star power they need.
