This by Larry Schweikart (Univ. of Dayton) and Michael Allen (Univ. of Washington, Tacoma) is terrific! If read maybe 20-25 books books that follow us (US) from "discovery to today" and this is by far the best. Debunks many long held historical myths... logically and factually. so too, confirms many things that we've always suspected but didn't have the straight dope on; these guys have done the research(bongo list of sources if you're inclined to check their homework ;)).Good as it gets IMHO... and I'm just up to Carter's administration (or debacle 8)).More info: ... includes a very good take on the Clinton impeachment process and the complete failure of the Senate to act within the Constitution... ::)
Sounds like an interesting book. The one author has certainly published his share of items. http://www.patriotshistoryusa.com/schweikart.htm
