Right now there's a minimum age of 16 to get one's driver's license in the U.S., and no maximum age (to my knowledge). Do you think there should be a different minimum limit, or even a maximum limit?

There probably should be a maximum range where drivers must retest to show motor skills, but I cringe at the prospect at the same time. Not an easy thing to discuss.
Yeah, you're probably right about the need to retest after a certain age. That would be better than having a cutoff age where people can drive no longer. As for minimum age, I wouldn't mind seeing it being raised to 17 years of age. I don't expect this to happen anytime soon, though.
The minimum age for a drivers license in Germany is 18 and everyone has to go to driving school. The classes to get a license are similar to getting a pilots license in the states and cost around 3-4,000 Euros before you are done. Not a bad system actually. I know that in some states no, driver's ed is required before a person can test for a license, which is probably a good idea.
