Modern day Macedonia is not even in the same place as ancient Macedonia. Alexander's kingdom was on the other side of the peninsula from modern Macedonia. So how do the Macedonians have a dog in this fight, history is not on their side. However, I am increasingly convinced that in the post-modern world history can be made to say anything depending on who is doing the saying.
