This is a list of places where families should take their children. Such a list seems like a good idea, because each of these places is part of traditional Americana (well, maybe except for the Craters of the Moon place…?). Funny thing is that I didn't go to any of these places as a kid, and I have only been to one of these places in my entire life.http://travel.yahoo.com/p-interests-38846834Would you add/subtract any places from the list?
Not the Lexington green? (that's one place I have been to before!)
Alcatraz? ??? I would add the following:1. Gettysburg2. The Alamo3. Mount Rushmore
I too, did not go to any as a kid. I have been to the National Mall as an adult though.I would add:1. The Alamo2. San Jacinto Battlefield3. Shiloh National Battlefield4. Cape Canaveral or Johnson Space Center5. Lexington6. Appomattox
