A Sixth Dynasty-era sarcophogus of a doctor was recently found at a site not far from Cairo:
Egyptian archaeologists have discovered the funerary remains of a doctor who lived more than 4,000 years ago, including his mummy, sarcophagus and bronze surgical instruments.
I didn't realize that doctors were treated as such in Egypt with mummification and sarcophogi. I thought that was reserved for royalty.
Maybe he was a royal physician.
The doctor must be a special person,so they have kept him as a mummy with some bronze statues
Here's my question. Why do they need to preserve a doctor in the afterlife? Is there a need for medical treatment in paradise? (lol)
